Job summary

Insomnia Cookies is hiring a full-time Store Manager in Training at our Purdue Univ store in West Lafayette, IN. You’ll work closely with the Bakery Operations Manager to build a strong, energized team, deliver an exceptional guest experience, and keep the bakery running at its best.

You’ll coach, recruit, onboard, and train a fully staffed team while owning staffing, inventory, quality, and execution. This role offers growth into bakery leadership, with opportunities to lead the team during

Qualifications

• 1+ year of leadership experience in retail, restaurant, hospitality, or another customer-focused environment.
• Experience coaching, motivating, and developing hourly team members.
• Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Hands-on leadership style and willingness to jump into bakery roles when needed.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day bakery operations and deliver an exceptional guest experience.
• Lead the bakery independently when the BOM is away, keeping the team focused and operations running smoothly.
• Coach, motivate, and develop Shift Leaders and team members through real-time feedback and support.
• Support recruiting, interviewing, onboarding, and training to build a strong, fully staffed team.
• Help create schedules and manage labor to meet bakery needs and business demand.
• Maintain high standards for product quality, food safety, cleanliness, and speed of service.
