Job summary

Sprouts Farmers Market is seeking an Assistant Bakery Manager in-store to lead the Bakery Clerks and assist the Bakery Manager with daily operations. You will help manage merchandising, inventory, and displays while ensuring safety and quality.

The role requires staying flexible for nights, weekends, and holidays and delivering outstanding customer service daily. This position emphasizes staff supervision, order accuracy, and adherence to health and sanitation standards.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age with a minimum of two years' retail grocery experience and two years supervisory experience.
• Be dependable and reliable with flexible schedule including night, weekends, and holidays.
• Have outgoing, friendly behavior and a positive attitude with strong customer interaction.
• Good communication skills and ability to take/give direction in a team environment.
• Able to answer phones and take special orders.
• Perform housekeeping and sanitize work area (tables, floor, walls, cases, cooler, etc.).
• Able to operate knives, scales, wrappers, compactors, garbage disposals, pallet jacks, and hand trucks as needed.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Bakery Manager in managing and merchandising the department for productivity and profit.
• Responsible for ordering and inventory controls, product quality, and supervision of the Bakery team.
• Execute rotation of merchandise and building of displays.
• Monitor in-coming cases for damaged items.
• Ensure excellent customer service and monitor bakery product quality.
• Unload and sort store deliveries and operate deli equipment.
• Adhere to safety, health, and sanitation guidelines and ensure team compliance.
