Job summary

Sprouts Farmers Market in Las Vegas (NV) is seeking a Bakery Manager to lead the Bakery Department with daily production, display, and staffing. You’ll supervise quality, manage inventory, control costs, and drive sales while upholding safety and sanitation standards.

You will coach team members, plan schedules, and collaborate withStore Manager to recruit and promote staff. This role requires hands-on leadership in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Must have at least 18 years old with 2+ years in retail grocery
• Demonstrate dependable, flexible scheduling including nights, weekends, holidays
• Outgoing, friendly demeanor with positive attitude toward team and customers
• Clear communication and ability to take and give direction in a team
• Must answer phones and take special orders
• Perform general housekeeping and sanitation in the department
• Operate knives, scales, wrappers, compactors, pallet jacks and hand trucks safely
• Stand for up to 3 hours at a time and move trays and items as required
• Adhere to safety, health, and Weights and Measures regulations; obtain Food Handlers permit
• Understand personnel reports, margin reports, weekly sales, and financial goals

Responsibilities

• Manage daily output of baking, production, and display of bakery products
• Supervise product quality, monitor inventory, and manage bakery budget
• Evaluate operations strengths/weaknesses and implement improved practices
• Ensure safety, proper food handling, sanitation, and productivity standards
• Responsible for correct ordering, receiving, unloading, and storage
• Rotate merchandise and build displays
• Manage inventory, in-stocks, pricing integrity, labor, and other ops
• Plan and order to maximize sales and gross profit
• Engage and coach team members; conduct bi-annual performance reviews
• Attend in-store meetings; recruit, hire, and promote with Store Manager
• Provide independent judgment on team concerns; document corrective actions
• Adjust schedules to maximize productivity
• Communicate standards and product knowledge to the team
• Lead a team delivering best quality products and service
• Serve as Key Carrier or Manager on Duty as needed
