Redner's Markets Bakery is seeking a Bakery Manager to direct and supervise all functions of the bakery department, providing leadership and direction for the team.

You will manage inventory, scheduling, training, and ensure freshness, safety, and budget targets while greeting customers and delivering courteous service. The role includes decorating cakes and enforcing policies, with responsibility for reporting and health regulation compliance.

Qualifications

• Math skills enable accurate counting of merchandise.
• Strong communication helps oversee staff and interact with customers.
• Dexterity is needed for bagging/packaging products.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds up to half the time.

Responsibilities

• Direct and supervise all bakery department functions.
• Order to maintain inventory, freshness, and product quality.
• Manage asset control of bakery goods (Stroehman, Maier’s, and private label).
• Enforce policies on receiving, dating, and restocking to ensure rotation.
• Support shrink control and safe, sanitary operations.
• Schedule and supervise department staff.
• Ensure compliance with health and government regulations.
• Oversee production and baking within the department.
• Train new bakery staff.
• Greet customers and provide prompt, courteous service.
• Maintain budgeted sales distribution and labor targets.
• Capable of decorating cakes.
