Job summary

The Fresh Market is seeking a Bakery Manager to lead the bakery team, manage inventory, ensure pricing integrity, and drive operational excellence. This fast-paced role rewards efficiency, attention to detail, and a passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences.

You will supervise, train, and motivate team members, oversee department procedures, and work closely with store leadership to maintain high standards of quality and service.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of progressive management experience in supermarkets, retail, restaurants, hotels, or general business.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop high-performing teams.
• Proven ability to deliver an exceptional guest experience while achieving performance goals.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and conflict resolution skills.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests and proactively assist them in a friendly manner with accurate and timely service.
• Making recommendations and accommodating requests.
• Managing order guides, deadlines, shrinking/damage control.
• Receiving/stocking according to rotation standards during replenishment.
• Handle, slice and prepare a variety of breads, pastries and convenient meal solutions.
• Direct teams to receive stock, stock items, and merchandise according to TFM standards.
• Coach and train team members on-the-job and via internal training platform to ensure excellent guest service.
