Job summary

Conagra Brands is seeking a Maintenance Subject Matter Expert at our Indianapolis Bakery plant. You will coach maintenance staff, troubleshoot equipment, and lead continuous improvement initiatives to keep plant operations running smoothly.

The role requires experience with mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems, plus PLC/logic controls and PdM tools. This is a full-time, on-site position reporting to the Maintenance Manager.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Two-year degree in Industrial Maintenance or 5+ years maintenance experience.
• Experience with mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic troubleshooting.
• Experience diagnosing and repairing electrical/mechanical problems with tools and manuals.
• Ability to create parts lists and obtain pricing for parts.
• Ability to learn plant equipment and processes.
• Expertise using shop tools including lathes, mills and precision tools; PdM experience.

Responsibilities

• Coach maintenance staff and act as a mechanic-trainer.
• Lead continuous improvement efforts and drive safety and quality.
• Troubleshoot equipment and respond quickly to keep lines running.
• Prepare and lead meetings; involve management as needed.
• Participate in 5S, Kaizen, and other improvement projects.
• Teach and enforce standards and processes for maintenance.
