Hy-Vee is seeking a Baker for our Bakery department. You will prepare, bake, and fry department products, ensuring freshness and quality for daily orders and future needs.

You will lead bakery clerks, review product labeling, and help maintain safety and sanitation standards in a fast-paced store environment. Qualifications include a High school diploma or equivalent, with 6 months to 1 year of related experience preferred.

Competenze

• High school diploma or equivalent required or preferred.
• Six months to one year of similar or related experience preferred.
• Customer service skills and basic math are important.

Mansioni

• Deliver outstanding customer service by greeting customers with a smile and assisting with needs.
• Prepare, bake, and fry department products; manage proofing and pulling from freezer or cooler.
• Review product freshness and manage daily and future orders.
• Inspect incoming products for quality and quantity; identify mispicks.
• Manage department schedule and coverage in Bakery Manager's absence.
• Maintain sanitation and safe work area; follow dress code and guidelines.
