Job summary

Whole Foods Market in Torrance, CA is seeking a team member to support bakery, coffee and juice merchandising, inventory control, and promotional displays. You will monitor open PO reports, signage, and product turns, while maintaining Weights & Measures and sanitation standards.

A strong emphasis on customer service and teamwork is required. You'll be expected to handle opening/closing duties, work a flexible schedule, and participate in required trainings.

Qualifications

• 12+ months retail experience.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with urgency.
• Strong math and computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Replenishes products through proper buying procedures.
• Monitors open PO reports for purchases and credits.
• Requests and ensures proper signage.
• Controls spoilage/shrink; achieves turn goals; participates in inventory.
• Completes required worksheets (spoilage, sampling, temperature).
• Ensures timely and accurate orders to monitor inventory turns.
• Maintains positive relationships with vendors.
• Oversees customer special order procedure.
• Analyzes and controls product transfers, waste and spoilage.
• Supports leadership in inventories and achieving purchasing targets.
• Keeps to standards for cleanliness, safety, and ordering.
• Provides excellent customer service, answers phones and pages promptly.
• Maximizes sales through proper prep, storage, rotation, stocking and merchandising.
• Follows Weights & Measures, health and sanitation procedures.
• Maintains clean, safe working and shopping environment.
• Performs opening, mid, and closing duties with sign accuracy.
• Reports safety hazards and violations.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
