Job summary

Flowers Foods, Inc. is seeking an Industrial Maintenance Technician in Lafayette, LA to ensure optimal facility efficiency through scheduled and unscheduled maintenance.

The role requires a technical mindset, willingness to rotate assignments across bakery areas, and ongoing training to keep pace with new technologies and performance standards. Responsibilities include lubrication, preventive maintenance, identifying wear, troubleshooting drives and conveyors, and using SAP for parts checkout

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience as a technician.
• Experience in heating, ventilation, air conditioning, welding, electrical, industrial equipment, automotive repairs, or related field.
• High school diploma or equivalent; Technical/Trade School certification or diploma a plus.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate safe work habits, proper tool selection and usage, general shop practices, maintenance tasks, and general knowledge of support equipment
• Perform proper component lubrication and conduct preventive maintenance on specific equipment
• Identify mechanical wear and identify, troubleshoot, and replace mechanical drive and conveyor components
• Use SAP software for parts checkout, reporting, and general data entry
• Practice learned knowledge of environmental and maintenance programs
• Maintain clean and safe work environment
• Practice and comply with all Company policies and procedures (EEO, Harassment, Safety, Sarbanes Oxley, etc.)
• Perform other duties which are deemed by management to be an integral part of the job, including but not limited to fulfillment of work schedules, adherence to attendance policies, and other applicable operating rules, policies and procedures
• Possess or attain licenses required by their respective municipal, county/ward or state regulatory agencies to work with boilers, refrigeration components and various other job-related equipment
