Job summary

Magnolia Bakery is seeking a General Manager for NYC locations to lead a high-performing team, deliver exceptional guest experiences, and drive operational and financial performance. You will coach managers, manage store operations, and uphold Magnolia’s iconic hospitality and quality standards.

Ideal candidates have 3–5 years of GM experience in retail or food service, a Food Safety Certification, and a track record of developing leaders while driving profitability in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience leading retail or food service operations in a general management capacity.
• Experience leading teams of 20+ employees.
• Food Safety Certification (or ability to obtain before training period ends).

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing team of managers and hourly staff.
• Recruit, onboard, train, and retain talent with leadership development plans.
• Provide performance feedback and address concerns with fair accountability.
• Oversee daily bakery operations and ensure brand standards and guest experiences.
• Own the bakery’s financial performance including sales and cost controls.
• Analyze financial reports to drive improvements and guest experiences.
