Responsibilities

• Assist the department manager in reaching sales and profit goals established for the department.
• Answer questions regarding products; help customers with bakery items.
• Prepare bakery items per customer requests using proper bakery equipment.
• Offer product samples and inform customers of bakery specials.
• Provide fresh products and correct portions; prevent shrink.
• Use bakery equipment (refrigerators, freezers, slicers, ovens) per guidelines.
• Label, stock, and inventory department merchandise.
• Ensure product quality; check sell by dates and take action.
