Job summary

PopUpBagels is hiring an Equipment Maintenance Specialist to keep bakery production and packaging lines running reliably. The role focuses on diagnosing, repairing, and preventing issues, with emphasis on high-speed equipment and electrical control systems.

You’ll contribute to continuous improvements in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Ideal candidates have 5+ years in continuous manufacturing maintenance, strong electrical troubleshooting skills, and experience with food production

Qualifications

Minimum 5 years of maintenance experience in continuous manufacturing (food preferred).
Troubleshooting high-speed production and packaging equipment.
Strong electrical troubleshooting incl. motors and control systems.
Experience replacing mechanical components: bearings, sprockets, chains, gears, belts.
Background in food/bakery environments preferred; refrigeration knowledge a plus.

Responsibilities

Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues on production equipment.
Perform preventive maintenance to ensure reliability and uptime.
Replace bearings, sprockets, chains, motors, belts, and gearboxes as needed.
Troubleshoot high-speed packaging lines, conveyors, and labeling systems.
Electrical troubleshooting on control systems, sensors, PLCs, and high-voltage components.
Maintain accurate maintenance logs and documentation.
Assist with setup, changeovers, calibration, and process adjustments.
Uphold safety protocols and keep a clean, organized workspace.
