Weis Markets is seeking a Bakery Department Leader to drive customer service, decorate cakes and manage daily bakery operations. You will plan merchandising, schedule staff, and ensure quality and safety standards across the department.

The role emphasizes hands-on decorating, inventory control, and uplifting associate performance while delivering a positive shopping experience for customers in the Frederick, MD area.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required; college degree desirable.
• Minimum 3 years' management experience in retail/food service.
• Previous decorating experience preferred.

Responsabilités

• Promotes excellent customer relations by greeting customers and resolving concerns promptly.
• Takes orders over the phone or in person; creates the finished decorated product in a timely fashion.
• Decorates cakes and bakery items using creams, fillings and designs.
• Manages inventories; tracks weekly sales and orders to meet demand and goals.
• Schedules associates, trains, and participates in performance reviews.
• Develops merchandising plans and monitors pricing and production.
• Maintains records and logs for inventories, sales and associate performance.
• Ensures sanitation, safety and proper handling of products and PPE.
