Job summary

ShopRite of Brodheadsville is seeking a Bakery Department Supervisor to direct daily operations, lead associates, and drive sales, service, and quality in the Bakery. You will monitor product freshness, perform safety checks, and promote a friendly, efficient customer experience.

This role requires strong leadership, teamwork, basic math, and the ability to stand for long periods while lifting up to 60 pounds.

Qualifications

• Ability to proficiently read, write, speak, analyze, interpret, and understand the English language.
• Ability to perform basic math.
• Ability to stand/walk for the duration of a scheduled shift.
• Ability to perform basic computer functions.
• Ability to regularly lift 25 lbs., and occasionally up to 60 lbs.
• Ability to interact with Customers in a friendly and helpful way.
• Ability to engage and lead Associates to achieve department goals.

Responsibilities

• Direct and supervise all functions and activities of the Bakery Department and its Associates.
• Ensure safety, cleanliness, and regulatory compliance in the department.
• Greet customers and promote current promotions to drive sales.
• Assist with onboarding and training of new department Associates.
• Monitor product quality, pricing, and display effectiveness.
• Maintain staffing to meet sales and Customer Experience needs.
