Job summary

ShopRite of Hillsdale seeks an experienced Bakery Manager to direct all functions of the Bakery Department, leading associates to achieve sales, profit, and exceptional customer experience. You will uphold safety, presentation, and efficiency while training staff and managing daily operations in Hillsdale, NJ.

Knowledge of HAACP, food safety standards, and strong interpersonal skills are required to drive department performance and guest satisfaction in a fast-paced retail setting.

Qualifications

• Minimum qualifications include reading, writing and speaking English proficiently.
• Ability to perform basic math.
• Ability to stand/walk for entire shift.
• Ability to perform basic computer functions.
• Ability to lift up to 60 lbs. occasionally and 25 lbs. regularly.
• Ability to work with fresh, dried and/or processed products.
• Ability to work in varying temperatures and tolerate dust.
• Ability to climb a ladder and interact with customers.
• Ability to lead and engage associates to meet department goals.

Responsibilities

• Direct and supervise all Bakery Department functions and Associates to achieve department goals.
• Maintain safety, cleanliness, and quality standards in line with company policies.
• Train, onboard and develop department Associates; provide feedback and coaching.
• Ensure accurate pricing, inventory control, and quality of displayed products.
• Manage staffing to meet projected sales and customer experience needs.
