Job summary

ShopRite of Hillsdale in New Jersey is seeking a Baker to assist the Bakery Manager with baking, dough mixing, icing and packaging of pastries and bread items, keeping the department neat, clean, and visually appealing while complying with safety and QA standards.

Responsibilities include following recipes, operating bakery equipment, stocking, inventory checks, assisting customers, and maintaining overall sanitation to ensure product quality and freshness.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write, and speak English.
• Stand/walk for the duration of a shift.
• Lift 25 lbs regularly and up to 50 lbs occasionally.
• Work in varying temperatures.
• Interact with customers in a friendly, helpful manner.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean, neat, organized bakery area.
• Follow recipes and prepare pastry/bread items as directed by the Bakery Manager.
• Operate and clean equipment used in baking and production.
• Greet customers and provide prompt service with accuracy.
• Track production and inventory, restock ingredients weekly.
