Job summary

Meijer is seeking an experienced store leader to plan, direct, and supervise day-to-day operations across departments. You will mentor staff, drive sales, and ensure quick, courteous service while upholding Meijer standards.

The role emphasizes safety, training, and consistent attendance in a fast-paced retail environment. You will manage staffing, succession planning, and promotions, while using financial data to inform decisions and optimize performance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or its equivalent required.
• 2-3 years retail experience.
• 1 year of management experience.
• Rotational store assignments (meat, bakery, produce, deli) helpful.
• Clear direction and communication to team members.
• Ability to resolve conflicts and address root causes.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and analyze numbers.

Responsibilities

• Staffing, selection and hiring to meet needs.
• Mentor and coach team; drive customer service and sales.
• Achieve department P&L and minimize shrink.
• Ensure team is trained and following safety practices.
• Promote Meijer Friendly Initiative in meetings.
• Maintain store appearance and prime shopping hours.
