Qualifications

• Must obtain a current food handler's permit after employment.

Responsibilities

• Grocery Clerk (Bakery/Deli) prepares items per order using bakery equipment.
• Offer samples to help customers discover items and answer questions about products.
• Inform customers about bakery/deli specials and promotions.
• Ensure correct portion sizes and freshness to prevent shrinkage.
• Recommend deli/bakery items to meet customer needs and preferences.
• Operate bakery equipment (refrigerators, freezers, slicers, ovens) according to guidelines.
• Prepare foods following recipes and temperature logs; use kitchen utensils safely.
• Label, stock, and inventory department merchandise; monitor inventory levels.
