The Kroger Co. is looking for a Grocery Clerk in our Bakery/Deli section in Athens, GA. Deliver outstanding customer service, handle bakery items per customer requests, and maintain a safe, clean environment to encourage repeat visits.

You will assist the department manager in achieving sales goals, promote samples and specials, and ensure product quality, correct portions, and compliance with food safety and inventory standards.

Mansioni

• Grocery Clerk (Bakery/Deli) will prepare items per customer requests using proper bakery equipment.
• Offer product samples to help customers discover new items.
• Inform customers of bakery/deli specials and promotions.
• Provide fresh products, proper portions, and maintain quality to prevent shrink.
• Recommend items to meet customer needs and preferences.
• Operate bakery equipment (refrigerators, freezers, slicers, ovens) per guidelines.
• Prepare foods following recipes and temperature logs.
• Measure and mix ingredients using kitchen tools.
• Label, stock and inventory department merchandise.
• Monitor inventory, check dates, and take action to ensure freshness.
• Maintain food safety and adhere to safety protocols.
