Job summary

Kroger Family of Companies is seeking a Grocery Clerk (Bakery/Deli) to help create an outstanding customer experience in-store. You will prepare items, assist customers, stock products, and maintain safe, clean bakery and deli areas.

The role requires strong customer service, basic math, and the ability to follow food safety guidelines. Experience in bakery/deli is helpful, as is availability for a variety of shifts.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Grocery Clerk (Bakery/Deli) will prepare items per customer requests using proper bakery equipment.
• Offer product samples to help customers discover new items or products they inquire about.
• Inform customers of bakery and/or deli specials.
• Provide customers with fresh products and correct portion sizes to prevent shrink.
• Recommend deli or bakery items to customers to meet their needs.
• Use bakery equipment (refrigerators, freezers, slicers, ovens) per guidelines.
• Prepare foods according to temperature logs and cooking instructions.
• Measure, mix ingredients, and prepare with a variety of utensils.
• Label, stock and inventory department merchandise and maintain times.
