Job summary

Responsibilities

• Prepare items per customer requests using bakery equipment
• Offer product samples to help customers discover items
• Inform customers of bakery and deli specials
• Provide customers with fresh products and correct portions
• Recommend deli or bakery items to meet customer needs
• Use bakery equipment (refrigerators, freezers, slicers, ovens) per guidelines
• Prepare foods according to temperature logs and cooking instructions
• Measure, mix and prepare ingredients using kitchen utensils
• Label, stock and inventory department merchandise
• Check product quality and review sell-by dates for action
• Maintain proper temperatures in cases and coolers and log temperatures
• Adhere to food safety regulations and safety procedures
• Assist in inventory and reporting discrepancies to the manager
• Work cooperatively in a fast-paced environment
• Handle customer and business issues with honesty and integrity
