You will assist the department manager in achieving sales and profit goals while upholding quality standards and Kroger's Customer 1st strategy. Responsibilities include preparing bakery/deli items to order, offering samples, promoting specials, and ensuring products meet freshness and temperature guidelines.

Formación

• Customer service and communication skills are required.
• Basic math skills are necessary for cash handling and inventory.
• Ability to obtain a current food handlers permit after hire.

Responsabilidades

• Grocery Clerk (Bakery/Deli) will prepare items per customer requests using proper bakery equipment.
• Offer product samples to help customers discover items they inquire about.
• Inform customers of bakery/deli specials and sales.
• Provide customers with fresh products in correct portions to prevent shrink.
• Recommend deli or bakery items to ensure customer needs are met.
• Use bakery equipment (refrigerators, freezers, slicers, ovens) per guidelines.
• Prepare foods according to temperature logs and cooking instructions.
• Label, stock, and inventory department merchandise and monitor stock levels.
