Qualifications

• Customer service experience preferred.
• Strong communication and math basics.
• Ability to obtain current food handlers permit once employed.
• Willingness to work in bakery/deli environment and follow safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Grocery Clerk (Bakery/Deli) will prepare items per customer requests using proper bakery equipment.
• Offer product samples to help customers discover items or products they inquire about.
• Inform customers of bakery and/or deli specials.
• Provide customers with fresh products that they ordered and correct portion sizes to prevent shrink.
• Recommend deli or bakery items to ensure customers get the products they want and need.
• Use bakery equipment (refrigerators, freezers, slicers, ovens) according to guidelines.
• Follow food safety regulations and temperature logs; ensure proper temperatures in cases and coolers.
