Responsibilities

1. Prepare bakery and deli items per customer requests using proper equipment.
2. Offer product samples to help customers discover new items or inquire about products.
3. Inform customers of bakery and/or deli specials.
4. Provide customers with fresh products and correct portions to prevent shrinkage.
5. Recommend products to ensure customer satisfaction.
6. Use bakery equipment such as refrigerators, freezers, slicers, and ovens according to guidelines.
7. Follow food safety and temperature logs, and prepare foods following cooking instructions.
8. Measure, prepare, and mix ingredients as per recipes using appropriate utensils and equipment.
9. Package, label, and inventory ingredients and merchandise properly.
10. Check product quality, review 'sell by' dates, and take necessary actions.
11. Maintain store layout knowledge for efficient product location.
12. Stay updated on current, seasonal, and promotional advertisements.
13. Maintain inventory and stock levels, noting discrepancies.
14. Ensure proper refrigeration temperatures and maintain logs.
15. Create a welcoming environment for customers and promote trust among staff.
16. Adhere to food safety regulations and safety procedures.
17. Inspect and report equipment issues and safety hazards.
18. Assist in managing conflicts and handle stressful situations professionally.
19. Act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information.
