Assist the department manager in reaching sales and profit goals established for the department and monitor all established quality assurance standards. Responsibilities

• Prepare bakery and deli items according to customer requests using proper equipment.
• Offer product samples to help customers discover new items or inquire about products.
• Inform customers of bakery and deli specials.
• Provide customers with fresh products in the correct portion size to minimize shrink.
• Recommend bakery or deli items to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Use bakery equipment such as refrigerators, freezers, slicers, and ovens according to guidelines.
• Follow food safety and temperature logs, and prepare foods as instructed.
• Measure, prepare, and mix ingredients using kitchen utensils and equipment.
• Package, label, and inventory ingredients and products accurately.
• Check product quality, review 'sell by' dates, and take appropriate actions.
• Maintain store layout knowledge and assist customers in locating products.
• Stay updated on current, seasonal, and promotional items.
• Ensure proper storage temperatures and maintain temperature logs.
• Create a welcoming environment for customers and foster trust and respect among staff.
• Adhere to food safety regulations and safety procedures.
• Report equipment issues, safety concerns, and accidents promptly.
• Work effectively in a fast-paced environment, managing conflicts cooperatively.
• Act with honesty and integrity in all customer and business interactions.
• Support and assist diverse customer needs, including minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults.
• Perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodations.
