Key Responsibilities:

1. Offer product samples to help customers discover new items or inquire about products.
2. Inform customers about bakery and deli specials.
3. Provide customers with fresh products, ensuring correct portion sizes to prevent shrinkage.
4. Recommend deli or bakery items to meet customer needs.
5. Use bakery equipment such as refrigerators, freezers, slicers, and ovens according to guidelines.
6. Prepare foods following temperature logs and cooking instructions.
7. Measure, prepare, and mix ingredients as per recipes.
8. Package, label, and inventory ingredients and products.
9. Check product quality, review 'sell by' dates, and take appropriate action.
10. Properly operate kitchen equipment including stoves, scales, fryers, and steamers.
11. Label, stock, and inventory department merchandise.
12. Report discrepancies in product ordering or shipping.
13. Understand store layout and assist customers in locating products.
14. Stay updated on current, upcoming, and seasonal promotions.
15. Maintain knowledge of products and respond to customer questions with suggestions.
16. Monitor inventory levels and note discrepancies.
17. Ensure proper temperature maintenance in cases and coolers, keeping logs.
18. Promote trust and respect among team members.
19. Create a welcoming environment for customers, answering questions and making them feel valued.
20. Follow all food safety regulations and guidelines.
21. Reinforce safety procedures, identify unsafe conditions, and notify management.
22. Inspect equipment regularly and report repairs needed.
23. Report any accidents involving customers or employees.
24. Work cooperatively in a fast-paced environment, managing conflicts professionally.
25. Act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information.
26. Follow directions and seek assistance when needed to resolve issues.
