Job Responsibilities:
- Offer product samples to help customers discover new items or inquire about products.
- Inform customers about bakery and deli specials.
- Provide customers with fresh products in correct portions to prevent shrinkage.
- Recommend bakery or deli items to meet customer needs.
- Operate bakery equipment such as refrigerators, freezers, slicers, and ovens according to guidelines.
- Prepare foods following temperature logs and cooking instructions.
- Measure, prepare, and mix ingredients using appropriate utensils and equipment.
- Package, label, and inventory ingredients and merchandise properly.
- Check product quality, review expiration dates, and take necessary actions.
- Use kitchen equipment safely and effectively.
- Label, stock, and inventory department merchandise.
- Report discrepancies in product ordering or shipping to management.
- Be knowledgeable of store layout and product locations to assist customers.
- Stay updated on current and upcoming promotions and ads.
- Maintain knowledge of products and respond to customer inquiries with suggestions.
- Monitor inventory levels and note discrepancies.
- Ensure proper temperature maintenance in cases and coolers, keeping logs.
- Promote trust and respect among team members.
- Create a welcoming environment for customers, making them feel valued and appreciated.
- Follow all food safety and safety procedures, reporting unsafe conditions.
- Inspect equipment regularly and report repairs needed.
- Report customer or employee accidents promptly.
