Responsibilities include:

• Offering product samples to help customers discover new items or inquire about products.
• Informing customers of bakery and deli specials.
• Providing customers with fresh products ordered and in correct portions to prevent shrinkage.
• Recommending deli or bakery items to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Using bakery equipment such as refrigerators, freezers, slicers, and ovens according to guidelines.
• Preparing foods following temperature logs and cooking instructions.
• Measuring, preparing, and mixing ingredients as per recipes using appropriate utensils and equipment.
• Packaging, labeling, and inventorying ingredients and products.
• Checking product quality, reviewing sell-by dates, and taking appropriate actions.
• Properly using kitchen equipment including stoves, scales, fryers, steamers, etc.
• Labeling, stocking, and inventory management.
• Reporting discrepancies in product ordering or shipping.
• Knowing store layout to assist customers in locating products.
• Staying current with ads and promotions.
• Maintaining knowledge of products and responding to customer inquiries and suggestions.
• Monitoring inventory and stock conditions, noting discrepancies.
• Ensuring proper temperature maintenance in cases and coolers with logs.
• Fostering trust and respect among team members.
• Creating a welcoming environment for customers.
• Adhering to food safety regulations and safety procedures.
• Practicing preventive maintenance and reporting equipment issues.
