Responsibilities

1. Prepare bakery and deli items according to customer requests using proper equipment.
2. Offer product samples to help customers discover new items or inquire about products.
3. Inform customers of bakery and deli specials.
4. Provide customers with fresh products in the correct portion size to prevent shrinkage.
5. Recommend bakery or deli items to ensure customer satisfaction.
6. Use bakery equipment such as refrigerators, freezers, slicers, and ovens following company guidelines.
7. Prepare foods according to temperature logs and cooking instructions.
8. Measure, prepare, and mix ingredients following recipes using appropriate utensils and equipment.
9. Package, label, and inventory ingredients and merchandise.
10. Check product quality, review "sell by" dates, and take appropriate actions.
11. Maintain proper temperatures in cases and coolers, and keep logs.
12. Adhere to food safety and safety procedures, reporting unsafe conditions or accidents.
13. Maintain inventory and stock levels, and report discrepancies.
14. Assist customers in locating products and answering questions about department items.
15. Stay current with store promotions and product knowledge.
16. Work cooperatively in a high-paced environment, managing conflicts professionally.
17. Follow directions and seek assistance when needed to resolve issues.
