Essential Job Functions:

1. Prepare bakery or deli items per customer requests using proper equipment.
2. Offer product samples to help customers discover new items.
3. Inform customers of bakery and deli specials.
4. Provide customers with ordered products, ensuring correct portions to prevent shrinkage.
5. Recommend products to customers based on their needs.
6. Use bakery equipment like refrigerators, freezers, slicers, and ovens according to guidelines.
7. Follow food safety and temperature logs when preparing foods.
8. Measure, prepare, and mix ingredients as per recipes.
9. Label, package, and inventory ingredients and products.
10. Check product quality, review expiration dates, and take appropriate actions.
11. Properly use kitchen equipment such as stoves, scales, fryers, and steamers.
12. Maintain inventory and stock levels, report discrepancies.
13. Understand store layout and assist customers in locating products.
14. Stay updated on current and upcoming promotions and seasonal items.
15. Maintain product knowledge to respond to customer inquiries and make suggestions.
16. Ensure proper storage temperatures and maintain logs.
17. Create a welcoming environment for customers.
18. Adhere to food safety and safety procedures, report unsafe conditions or accidents.
19. Inspect equipment regularly and report repairs needed.
20. Work cooperatively in a fast-paced, sometimes stressful environment.
21. Manage conflicts professionally and act with integrity.
22. Follow directions and seek help when necessary.
23. Support and assist minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults.
