Job Responsibilities:
- Offer product samples to help customers discover new items.
- Inform customers about bakery and deli specials.
- Provide customers with fresh products, ensuring correct portions to prevent shrink.
- Recommend items to customers to meet their needs.
- Operate bakery equipment like refrigerators, freezers, slicers, and ovens following company guidelines.
- Prepare foods according to temperature logs and cooking instructions.
- Measure, prepare, and mix ingredients as per recipes using appropriate utensils and equipment.
- Package, label, and inventory ingredients and products.
- Check product quality, review 'sell by' dates, and take necessary actions.
- Use kitchen equipment properly, including stoves, scales, fryers, and steamers.
- Label, stock, and inventory merchandise.
- Report discrepancies in product ordering or shipping.
- Be familiar with the store layout to assist customers efficiently.
- Stay updated on current and upcoming promotions and specials.
- Maintain knowledge of department products to answer questions and make suggestions.
- Monitor inventory and stocking conditions, noting discrepancies.
- Ensure proper temperature maintenance in cases and coolers, keeping logs.
- Foster trust and respect among team members.
- Create a welcoming environment for customers by answering questions and providing assistance.
- Adhere to food safety regulations and guidelines.
- Follow safety procedures, identify unsafe conditions, and report them.
- Inspect equipment regularly and notify management of repairs needed.
