Responsibilities include:
- Offering product samples to help customers discover new items or inquire about products.
- Informing customers of bakery and deli specials.
- Providing customers with fresh products in correct portion sizes to prevent shrinkage.
- Recommending bakery or deli items to meet customer needs.
- Using bakery equipment according to company guidelines.
- Preparing foods following temperature logs and cooking instructions.
- Measuring, preparing, and mixing ingredients as per recipes.
- Labeling, stocking, and inventorying ingredients and products.
- Checking product quality and reviewing 'sell by' dates.
- Properly using kitchen equipment such as refrigerators, slicers, ovens, etc.
- Maintaining inventory and addressing discrepancies.
- Ensuring proper temperature controls and logs.
- Creating a welcoming environment for customers and maintaining store layout knowledge.
- Staying informed on current and upcoming promotions and product knowledge.
- Adhering to food safety and safety procedures, reporting hazards or accidents.
- Maintaining equipment and notifying management of repairs.
- Working cooperatively in a high-paced environment and managing conflicts appropriately.
- Acting with honesty and integrity with customer and business information.
- Supporting minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults as needed.
