Responsibilities include:
- Offering product samples to help customers discover new items.
- Informing customers of bakery and deli specials.
- Providing fresh, correctly portioned products to customers.
- Recommending items to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Using bakery equipment safely and according to guidelines.
- Preparing foods following temperature logs and cooking instructions.
- Measuring, preparing, and mixing ingredients as per recipes.
- Packaging, labeling, and inventory management of ingredients.
- Checking product quality and freshness, reviewing sell-by dates.
- Properly using kitchen equipment like refrigerators, slicers, ovens, etc.
- Labeling, stocking, and inventorying merchandise.
- Reporting discrepancies in ordering/shipping.
- Understanding store layout to assist customers efficiently.
- Staying updated on current and upcoming promotions and products.
- Maintaining inventory accuracy and temperature logs.
- Promoting a respectful environment among staff and with customers.
- Creating a welcoming atmosphere and answering product questions.
- Adhering to food safety and safety procedures, reporting unsafe conditions.
- Inspecting and maintaining equipment, reporting repairs.
- Reporting accidents promptly.
- Working cooperatively in a high-paced environment, managing conflicts professionally.
