Job Responsibilities:
- Offer product samples to help customers discover new items.
- Inform customers of bakery and deli specials.
- Provide fresh products as ordered, ensuring correct portions to minimize shrink.
- Recommend bakery or deli items to meet customer needs.
- Use bakery equipment according to guidelines.
- Prepare foods following temperature logs and cooking instructions.
- Measure, prepare, and mix ingredients as per recipes.
- Package, label, and inventory ingredients.
- Check product quality and freshness, review "sell by" dates.
- Properly operate kitchen equipment such as slicers, ovens, fryers, etc.
- Label, stock, and inventory merchandise.
- Report discrepancies in product ordering or shipping.
- Understand store layout and locate products for customers.
- Stay updated on advertisements and product knowledge.
- Maintain inventory and stock levels, noting discrepancies.
- Ensure proper storage temperatures and maintain logs.
- Create a welcoming environment for customers.
- Adhere to food safety regulations and safety procedures.
- Identify and report unsafe conditions or equipment issues.
- Support a cooperative, respectful team environment.
- Handle customer and employee accidents appropriately.
- Work effectively in high-paced, stressful environments.
