Responsibilities
- Prepare bakery and deli items according to customer requests using proper equipment.
- Offer product samples to help customers discover new items or inquire about products.
- Inform customers of bakery and/or deli specials.
- Provide customers with fresh products in the correct portion size to prevent shrink.
- Recommend bakery or deli items to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Use bakery equipment such as refrigerators, freezers, slicers, and ovens according to company guidelines.
- Prepare foods following temperature logs and cooking instructions.
- Measure, prepare, and mix ingredients as per recipes using appropriate utensils and equipment.
- Package, label, and inventory ingredients and merchandise accurately.
- Check product quality, review "sell by" dates, and take necessary actions.
- Maintain proper temperatures in cases and coolers, and keep logs updated.
- Adhere to all food safety and safety regulations, and report unsafe conditions or accidents.
- Maintain inventory and stock levels, and report discrepancies.
- Create a welcoming environment for customers and promote trust and respect among staff.
- Work cooperatively in a high-paced environment, manage conflicts, and act with honesty and integrity.
- Support and assist customers, including minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults.
- Follow directions and seek assistance when needed to resolve issues.
- Perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodations.

- Ability to obtain a food handler’s permit upon employment
