Minimum Position Qualifications:

Essential Job Functions:

1. Grocery Clerk (Bakery/Deli) will prepare items per customer requests using proper bakery equipment.
2. Offer product samples to help customers discover new items or products they inquire about.
3. Inform customers of bakery and/or deli specials.
4. Provide customers with fresh products that they have ordered and the correct portion size to prevent shrink.
5. Recommend deli or bakery items to customers to ensure they get the products they want and need.
6. Use all equipment in bakery such as refrigerators, freezers, slicers, and ovens according to company guidelines.
7. Prepare foods according to food temperature logs and follow cooking instructions.
8. Measure, prepare, and mix ingredients according to recipes, using kitchen utensils and equipment.
9. Adequately prepare, package, label, and inventory ingredients.
10. Check product quality to ensure freshness and review "sell by" dates.
11. Properly use kitchen equipment like stoves, scales, fryers, etc.
12. Label, stock, and inventory merchandise.
13. Report product ordering/shipping discrepancies.
14. Understand store layout and locate products for customers.
15. Stay current with ads and promotions.
16. Maintain knowledge of products and respond to customer questions.
17. Monitor inventory and stocking conditions.
18. Maintain proper temperatures and logs.
19. Promote trust and respect among staff.
20. Create a welcoming environment for customers.
21. Adhere to food safety regulations and guidelines.
22. Reinforce safety procedures and report unsafe conditions.
23. Inspect equipment and notify management of repairs needed.
24. Report accidents.
25. Work cooperatively in a high-paced environment.
26. Manage conflicts professionally.
27. Act with honesty and integrity regarding information.

Salary Range: $16.40 - $17.60
