Assist the department manager in reaching sales and profit goals established for the department and monitor all established quality assurance standards. Responsibilities

1. Prepare bakery and deli items according to customer requests using proper equipment.
2. Offer product samples to customers to promote new or inquire about items.
3. Inform customers of bakery and deli specials.
4. Provide customers with fresh, correctly portioned products to prevent shrinkage.
5. Recommend bakery or deli items to meet customer needs.
6. Use bakery equipment such as refrigerators, freezers, slicers, and ovens according to guidelines.
7. Follow food safety and temperature logs when preparing foods.
8. Measure, prepare, and mix ingredients following recipes.
9. Package, label, and inventory ingredients and merchandise.
10. Check product quality, review 'sell by' dates, and take necessary actions.
11. Maintain awareness of inventory conditions and stock levels.
12. Ensure proper temperature maintenance in cases and coolers.
13. Create a welcoming environment for customers, answering questions and making suggestions.
14. Adhere to all food safety regulations and safety procedures.
15. Report safety issues, equipment needs, or accidents promptly.
16. Work cooperatively in a high-paced environment, managing conflicts professionally.
17. Act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information.
18. Support and assist diverse customers, including minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults.
