Minimum Position Qualifications:

Essential Job Functions:

  1. Prepare bakery and deli items per customer requests using proper equipment.
  2. Offer product samples to help customers discover new items or inquire about products.
  3. Inform customers of bakery and deli specials.
  4. Provide customers with ordered products, ensuring correct portion sizes to prevent shrink.
  5. Recommend bakery or deli items to customers to meet their needs.
  6. Use bakery equipment such as refrigerators, freezers, slicers, and ovens according to guidelines.
  7. Follow food safety and temperature logs, and cooking instructions.
  8. Measure, prepare, and mix ingredients as per recipes using appropriate utensils and equipment.
  9. Package, label, and inventory ingredients and products.
  10. Check product quality, review "sell by" dates, and take necessary actions.
  11. Operate kitchen equipment safely and properly.
  12. Label, stock, and inventory department merchandise.
  13. Report discrepancies in product ordering or shipping.
  14. Be familiar with store layout to assist customers in locating products.
  15. Stay updated on current promotions and advertisements.
  16. Maintain knowledge of products and respond to customer inquiries with suggestions.
  17. Monitor inventory levels and stock conditions, noting discrepancies.
  18. Ensure proper temperatures in cases and coolers, maintaining logs.
  19. Promote trust and respect among team members.
  20. Create a welcoming environment for customers, answering questions and making recommendations.
  21. Adhere to food safety regulations and safety procedures.
  22. Identify unsafe conditions, notify management, and practice preventive maintenance.
  23. Report customer or employee accidents promptly.
  24. Work cooperatively in a high-paced, sometimes stressful environment.
  25. Manage conflicts professionally and cooperatively.
  26. Act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information.
  27. Follow directions and seek assistance when needed to resolve issues.
  28. Support and assist minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults as needed.
  29. This position requires the ability to perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
  30. Salary Range: $15.25 - $16.35 per hour.
