Responsibilities include:

• Offering product samples to help customers discover new items.
• Informing customers about bakery and deli specials.
• Providing fresh products as ordered, maintaining portion accuracy to prevent shrinkage.
• Recommending deli or bakery items to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Using bakery equipment safely and according to guidelines.
• Preparing foods per temperature logs and cooking instructions.
• Measuring, preparing, and mixing ingredients as per recipes.
• Properly packaging, labeling, and inventorying ingredients.
• Checking product quality and freshness, reviewing "sell by" dates.
• Using kitchen equipment properly, including refrigerators, freezers, slicers, and ovens.
• Labeling, stocking, and inventorying merchandise.
• Reporting discrepancies in product ordering or shipping.
• Understanding store layout and assisting customers in locating products.
• Staying current with ads and promotions.
• Maintaining product knowledge to answer questions and make suggestions.
• Monitoring inventory and stocking conditions.
• Ensuring proper temperature controls and logs are maintained.
• Promoting trust and respect among team members.
• Creating a welcoming environment for customers.
• Adhering to food safety and safety procedures, reporting unsafe conditions.
