Job summary

Weis Markets, Inc. is hiring for a bakery associate position. This role focuses on keeping the bakery stocked, greeting customers, and assisting with special orders and cake writing.

You will help ensure freshness, correct pricing, and safe handling of products while supporting a clean, organized department. Responsibilities include taking orders in person or by phone, setting up displays, assisting with bread and pastry production, and following health and safety guidelines.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED completed or in progress.
• No prior experience required.
• Ability to handle PPE, health and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Keep bakery department stocked and appealing and greet customers.
• Take customer orders over the phone or in store with a positive attitude.
• Set up special-order tables and bakery displays; assist with cake writing.
• Ensure merchandise is fresh, properly priced and labeled.
• Assist with production of breads and pastries per recipes.
• Maintain sanitation and cleanliness per schedules and OSHA rules.
• Assist with deliveries and warehouse tasks as trained.
• Help minimize shrink and report shortages to management.
• Follow PPE rules and cooperate with coworkers; may work in other departments.
