Job summary

Caesars Entertainment’s Harrah's and Caesars Republic Lake Tahoe bakery team is seeking an experienced Bakery Associate to support production and customer service in our casino resort. You will learn from Chefs and Bakers, and assist in the overall production of bakery items.

Responsibilities include preparing doughs, fillings and pastries, maintaining bakery sanitation, and assisting with banquet dessert production.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous bakery experience helpful.
• Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand English.
• Knowledge of general baking principles.
• Ability to interpret formulas and calculate quantity conversions.
• Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of team members.
• Ability to work independently and unsupervised.
• Must be able to stand for 8 hours and lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Provides superior customer service, positively effects interactions with external and internal customers and employees and has the resiliency to deal with difficult customers in all types of business conditions and the ability to work harmoniously with co-workers.
• Receives, stores, rotates and distributes bakery supplies and products in and around production areas.
• Scales and measures all ingredients, including but not limited to flours, sugars, leavenings, as well as doughs and batters within allowable tolerances as directed.
• After initial training, prepares a variety of base doughs, batters and fillings and derivatives thereof, as well as batters for buffet-style pastries, etc.
• Prepares, fills and finishes basic buffet cakes.
• Cuts pies, cakes and tarts; prepares pastries for service; prepares basic breakfast pastry items; fills croissants
• Participates in production of banquet dessert items, plate-up of these, etc.
• Maintains the Bakery and its equipment in a sanitary condition.
• Assists the Bakers as assigned or needed.
