Job summary

Woodlands Market, Marin and San Francisco's premier gourmet grocery store, seeks a Bakery and Coffee Manager to lead our bakery and coffee service counters. You will manage front-of-house operations, schedule staff, train team members, and ensure optimal service and product quality.

Responsibilities include hiring support, staff evaluations, inventory control, merchandising, sanitation, and ensuring smooth opening/closing procedures.

Qualifications

• Experience in a bakery/coffee service environment.
• Supervisory or lead role experience.
• Ability to train and develop staff while maintaining service standards.

Responsibilities

• Manage front of house/service counters for bakery and coffee.
• Oversee service staff of bakery and coffee counters.
• Write schedules for bakery and coffee counters.
• Ensure efficiencies between coffee and bakery counters through cross-training and scheduling.
• Train staff on product knowledge and service standards.
• Assist in hiring bakery/coffee employees and conduct evaluations.
• Oversee ordering and inventory for bakery/coffee counters.
• Maintain quality/visual merchandising and rotate products.
• Maintain cleanliness of bakery/coffee area and ice cream section.
• Perform basic bakery duties as needed and ensure sanitation and opening/closing procedures.
