Job summary

El Super is hiring a Bakery Clerk at Store #25 in National City, CA. You’ll provide friendly customer service, assist with bakery purchases, rotate displays, and help with special orders under supervision. Physical tasks include lifting up to 60 pounds and standing for long periods.

Qualifications

• Read and comprehend simple instructions, product labels, shelf tags and memos.
• Write simple correspondence for customers and teammates.
• Explain information clearly in one-to-one and small group settings.
• Follow detailed but straightforward instructions.
• Regularly lift up to 25 lbs, frequently up to 60 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Assist bakery customers with purchases and questions.
• Clean and rotate bakery displays and shelves.
• Take special orders and coordinate with the Baker for items to bake/decorate.
• Help with department cleaning and floor care as needed.
• Support fast-paced store operations in the bakery area.
