Job summary

BJ’s Wholesale Club is hiring for a bakery team member to support daily bakery operations, from proofing to display and customer service. You will help bake unfinished bakery items, maintain safety standards, and ensure freshness while engaging with members.

As part of a fast-paced team, you’ll follow production charts, prepare items for the next day, handle labeling and pricing, and assist in other departments as needed. Must be 18 or older and able to lift up to 30 pounds.

Qualifications

• Experience working in a bakery or customer service oriented environment preferred.
• Knowledge of bakery products preferred.
• At least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Answers questions and recommends bakery items.
• Proofs and bakes unfinished bakery goods according to production charts.
• Packages freshly baked goods and displays them per production guidelines.
• Decorates special orders or case products.
• Rotates and stores bakery products following safety policies.
• Ensures products are fresh and meet quality standards.
• Generates labels and price tickets and checks prices.
• Cleans and sanitizes equipment and surfaces in the bakery.
• Operates bakery equipment safely.
• Performs other duties and may work in other departments.
