Job summary

ShopRite is seeking a Bakery Clerk at the Wayne Hills Mall location to assist the Bakery Manager with daily operations, pricing, stocking and rotating merchandise. You will help maintain a neat and appealing department and ensure safety and quality standards.

Ideal candidates read and write English, can perform basic math, and lift up to 50 lbs. You will greet customers, work with others, and follow all company policies and safety guidelines.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read, write, speak English.
• Basic math ability required for pricing and stocking.
• Ability to stand, bend, lift up to 50 lbs occasionally.
• Ability to work in varying temperatures.
• Ability to handle fresh, dried, or processed products safely.
• Maintain QA standards and sanitation as required.
• Provide friendly customer service.
• Work cooperatively with others.
• Adhere to schedules and attendance policies.

Responsibilities

• Maintain clean, neat, and safe bakery area.
• Prepare trays and merchandise to customers’ satisfaction.
• Rotate products to ensure freshness and proper pricing signage.
• Assist Bakery Manager with daily operations and pricing.
• Greet customers and assist with inquiries promptly.
• Follow safety, hygiene, and QA procedures at all times.
• Handle damaged goods per store policy and assist in restocking.
• Support other departments as needed and work overtime when required.
