Job summary

Brookshire Grocery Company is hiring in-house for a bakery team member. You will handle packaging, labeling, stocking and maintaining product quality, ensuring correct temperatures and dates. You’ll support bakery staff, promote items to customers, and help keep displays neat and inviting.

You will greet customers, answer questions, take orders, and work with a friendly team to deliver excellent service in a fast-paced retail bakery environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum age 18; 21+ for driving per policy.
• Food Handler certification required.
• Ability to read and operate digital equipment and scales.
• Ability to safely use bakery tools such as bread slicer and oven.
• Flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Team player with strong communication and customer service.

Responsibilities

• Adheres to quality control and food safety by stocking and rotating baked goods.
• Assists bakery personnel with preparing, packaging, labeling and displays.
• Promotes product sales through suggestive selling.
• Stacks pallets and sorts product into correct locations per efficiency standards.
• Maintains clean, safe, sanitary working and shopping environment.
• Greets customers and answers questions; takes orders by phone and in person.
