Job summary

El Super is seeking a Bakery Clerk (#63 Indio) to deliver friendly, helpful service in a fast-paced grocery setting. You will assist customers with bakery items, help with special orders, and coordinate with the bakery team to determine what should be baked or decorated.

The role requires the ability to lift up to 60 pounds, stand for extended periods, and work a schedule that may include weekends. Training and a supportive team environment are offered at our Indio store.

Qualifications

• Read and understand short instructions, product labels and shelf tags.
• Write simple correspondence.
• Present information to customers and colleagues clearly.
• Follow written or oral instructions with basic comprehension.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with bakery purchases and keep displays clean and stocked.
• Collaborate with the Baker to determine items to bake or decorate.
• Restock shelves and rotate displays in front of the store and near the bakery.
• Take special orders and assist with department cleaning to maintain cleanliness.
