BAKERY/CAKE DECORATOR (Finance)

Create an outstanding customer experience through exceptional service. Establish and maintain a safe and clean environment that encourages customers to return. Assist the department manager in reaching sales and profit goals for the department and monitor all quality assurance standards. Minimum requirements:

• Retail experience
• Bakery or cake decorating experience
• Ability to handle stressful situations
• Basic math skills
• Effective communication skills

Desired qualifications:

• Second language skills (speaking, reading, writing)
• Ability to create a welcoming environment and answer customer questions about products
• Knowledge of bakery products and ability to respond to customer inquiries and make suggestions
• Offering samples and preparing bakery items, including wedding cakes, per customer requests using proper equipment
• Decorating cakes, pastries, cupcakes, cookies, and other bakery items
• Labeling, stocking, signing, and inventory management
• Reporting discrepancies and understanding store layout
• Monitoring inventory conditions and adhering to health and safety regulations
• Following merchandising, customer service, safety, and loss prevention rules
• Practicing safety and preventive maintenance, reporting hazards or unsafe conditions
• Reporting safety risks, illegal activities, or incidents to management
