BAKERY/CAKE DECORATOR (Finance)

Minimum requirements:

• Retail experience
• Bakery/cake decorating experience
• Ability to handle stressful situations
• Basic math skills
• Effective communication skills

Desired qualifications:

• Second language skills (speaking, reading, and/or writing)
• Create an inviting environment for customers by answering questions and making suggestions about products
• Offer samples and prepare bakery items, including wedding cakes, using proper equipment
• Recommend bakery products to customers
• Check product quality and freshness, review expiration dates, and use bakery equipment appropriately
• Decorate cakes, pastries, cupcakes, cookies, and other bakery items
• Label, stock, and manage inventory of department merchandise
• Report discrepancies and maintain knowledge of store layout and current promotions
• Monitor inventory and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
• Follow all safety, sanitation, and store policies, including loss prevention and equipment maintenance
• Report safety issues, accidents, and illegal activities promptly
• Perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodations
