Job summary

Panera Bread in DeWitt, NY is seeking a Manager in Training Team Lead to supervise daily bakery-cafe operations and drive guest satisfaction. You’ll guide a team, uphold Panera standards, and lead performance improvements across service, safety, and efficiency.

Qualified candidates bring 90+ days at Panera or equivalent, and CMP/ServSafe certifications with the ability to pass. This role offers growth into a managerial position with full-time hours and benefits.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 90 days experience working in a Panera bakery-cafe.
• Certified in all positions on either the Service track (Coffee, Barista, Bakery Backer, Dining Room, Cashier) or the Production track (Prep, Soups, Salads/Hot Entrees, Sandwiches, Consolidator).
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Complete the Certified Manager Program (CMP) including ServSafe certification (or ability to pass).
• Submit to a background check and meet all company requirements.

Responsibilities

• Ensure extraordinary guest experiences by delivering high-quality food, service, and safety. Build engaging relationships that foster long-term, loyal customers.
• Coach and motivate the team to exceed bakery-cafe goals for sales, speed of service, order accuracy, and cafe health.
• Train staff on food safety standards and maintain compliance across all positions.
• Lead, manage, and develop associates—providing ongoing training, constructive feedback, and recognition of individual and team achievements.
